What are UL approved models?
UL approved carts have been tested and approved by UnderWriters Laboratory to withstand a tip of 12° with a monitor on the top shelf without falling over. The number after the UL in the model number designates the size of the monitor that the cart was tested with and for which it received approval. Some carts which are UL rated have a tip-resistant ballast system.
Are wider carts better?
When it comes to carts, wider is truly better. A cart with a wider base forces items on the top closer toward the cart's center of gravity. This makes the cart much less likely to tip over when in motion. When heavy items are placed farther from the center of gravity (as possible on a straight leg cart), even a small bump can cause the most well designed cart to tip over.
Round vs Square Legs, which are better?
A 1-1/2" square leg has 6" of gripping surface diameter. A 1-1/2 round leg has 4-3/4" of gripping surface diameter. Furthermore a round leg can twist and loosen over time while a square leg will stay fixed in it's position.
What is the difference between LE and LP models other than price?
Our LE (Endura) carts have 2 metal bars reinforcing the top shelf for additional strength. The LP models (Low Priced) do NOT have any metal in the top shelf.
Do I really need a safety strap?
YES! We RECOMMEND safety straps for all tv/video carts and tables regarless of whether the cart will be staying in place or on the move. For safety sake, buy a safety strap!
Are other wheel options available?
It depends. Some models do have optional wheels available. However, it will depend on the unit which you are interested in purchasing. Types of wheels: 2" casters, 4" casters, dual wheel casters, 5" ball bearing casters, 8" big wheels, pneumatic wheels and semi-pneumatic wheels.
